lo-fi

I think it is important to be vulnerable. I think you should not be afraid to show anything. In fact, I think that the things you are most afraid to share are precisely the things you should share, because just the act of doing that will be a good exercise in dropping your ego and getting over yourself.

That is part of why I posted this song. It’s not one of my favorites, I would never put it out on a CD or anything, but it is still an important part of my progression as a human and as an artist. It is still history, it still captures a brief moment in time, a window into the past. I would rather share it than let it continue to collect digital dust inside my computer.

In general, practicing not being afraid of anything is a good exercise.

Forget about what others might say or think. Share because you can, share because you create. What’s the worst thing that can happen?

By “keep it lo-fi”, I mean, keep it simple, don’t over-do it, mistakes are ok, strive for the spontaneous moments, keep it dirty, close to the people and close to the earth.

So, in summary:

  • smoke lots of medical chronic
  • be incredibly honest
  • stay calm
  • and keep it lo-fi

I love you America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
