I consider this to be a masterpiece. This song should have a warning. As a ten year old at the time, I have no idea what I was thinking writing this song. I probably just wanted to do something dark and evil, take my music in a new direction.
We practiced at the drummer Brian’s house, and somehow, his parents ended up hearing this song. I think he played it for them, he was proud of it. But they were not happy. At our next “rehearsal”, they came down into the basement and told us we were not allowed to write songs like that anymore. I was enraged with my first taste of censorship.
And in a way, this song was my first success - I mean, isn’t that the point of good rock n’ roll music - to piss off the parents?!?!
“Minastroba” was a name I made up. I just googled the word - no results.
