Yes, it is official - we won the grand prize for Litter Robot Video contest (and that prize is a new Litter Robot… a $400 value)!!! To be honest, the competition wasn’t very fierce, but it only takes a small victory to get me excited. Now my goal is to continue to win more and more online video contests.
We have four cats here at home, so winning a second Litter Robot will be a welcomed addition to our home. Currently, the two “upstairs cats” get to use the robot, while the two “downstairs cats” still use the old fashioned litter box (which I have to clean). But once that new Litter Robot comes in the mail (hopefully soon… we chose the beige colored one!), the days of cleaning out litter boxes will be history for me.
My wife and I concepted this video together, then made it in the two days before our wedding… so you can imagine how hectic things were. But we were sure we could win, so we got it done. We wrote and recorded a song, then shot and edited the video.
They were a week late in announcing the winner of the contest, so as each day passed with no remarks, my wife and I went from thinking we had won, to slowly giving up hope and believing we had somehow lost (our theory was that our video was too “edgy”). But then finally I got an e-mail that said they had announced the winners and to go to THIS PAGE to to see the results. I went to the page, still thinking I had lost, and then lo and behold, I see that we had won! It was a great feeling!!!
Hopefully my wife and I will continue to make award-winning videos.
