It’s been a while since I posted a good ol’ Nasty Millz track. I’m not even sure if Nasty Millionaire exists anymore. Anyway, this song, when I first made it, I was like - “oh shit, this is my new style, this is my next level” … but subsequently, as the song became older, it has slowly become one of my personal least favorite tracks. I was messing around with a slightly different vocal style - a little louder and more aggressive. But now, I don’t really think that’s the best style for me.
The beat, which originally felt new and fast to me, now feels slow and out of tune.
You see - it is all perception. Something which appears great one day may appear weak the next day. Who’s to judge? So just stop worrying and just keep on creating.
Wow, this song is a year old already! So much has happened in the last year. I remember when I made this song, I was going through some crazy personal/family drama, so perhaps that accounts for my different style on this track.
I may have been drinking a little bit of whiskey when I recorded this track.
So, ya know, post it all, give it all away for free, be ashamed of nothing, don’t care what others think, and just keep on plowing ahead and growing and evolving. Nothing is permanent.
Mature Millionaire… I think that is the new shit.
