THE LAST HAPPY MEAL
My first student film, finally digitized. About a 15 year old girl who agrees to commit suicide live on film (8 min 30 sec). Starring Bronwyn Purcell (now married) and Mike Masters (soon to be married). With assistance from Mike Loughran, Rafferty Kellogg, and Ithaca College. I think my graduating class was the last ones to use Actual Film. Now everything is digital. This film is made up of a bunch of still photos and video footage cross-processed onto 16 mm film. Some stuff was shot on an old Bolex, the rest was shot with a standard home video at the time, those old hi-8 tapes, but then transferred onto 16mm film. Influenced by Jean-Luc Godard and Buffalo 66. The ending credits song is by the Saras, a group which I believe no longer exists.
