This, of course, is another 4-track cassette tape masterpiece from 2007, a great year.
This song, also of course, was inspired by the poetry of Mary Oliver, particularly her poem Wild Geese. This is a good song to listen to if/when you are feeling down and bad, because just remember, you don’t have to be good! It’s OK, everything is OK, always. Don’t sweat it. Just do you.

My friend Dave took me to see Mary Oliver speak at UCLA for my birthday a litle over a year ago. Watching her read was incredible and moving and powerful and inspiring. Afterwards, she was signing stuff and I had brought a copy of a CD with this song on it to give to her, but the line was too long and I didn’t feel like waiting. So I gave the CD to some girls waiting in line and they promised to deliver it to her for me.
I wrote a small note on the CD with my e-mail address and I was hoping to recieve an e-mail from Mary Oliver, telling me that she had indeed listened to the song and maybe even enjoyed it. But I never heard from her. I will never really know if she actually listened to the song. Oh well, I will just keep dreaming, and maybe one day I will get an e-mail from her.
