Red Sands is the movie that my friend Simon Barrett wrote, and his friend Alex Turner directed. And incidently, the “making of” documentary (shot and edited by Simon) features the song “Pluto Ain’t A Planet” by Nasty Millionaire.
Red Sands is a horror movie about some US soliders in present day Afghanistan who destroy an ancient statue and unleash an evil supernatural force. In other words - SPIRITS TAKE NO PRISONERS!!!
The Turner/Barrett team are also well-known for their classic film DEAD BIRDS, a haunted house / ghost horror movie set during the civil war in North America.
