Let’s go with something a little different today. This is a song Dave and I did with Michelle Nolan (of Straylight Run fame) a few years ago. It was right before Straylight Run formed. Me and Dave and Michelle all went to high school together, way before any of that Taking Back Sunday or Brand New or anything.
But anyway, we have a bunch of weird stuff recorded from a session we did a few years ago when she flew out to LA for a few days. Oh yeah, I remember - she had sent us a cassette tape of some of her new songs, just playing acoustic guitar, and after we heard it, we we were like yo let’s record that. The final results were never released or really finished, but this track came out ok/good. She wrote this one and then Dave played keys on it and arranged the crazy part towards the end and I did samples and some other stuff.
Anyway, then she joined SLR and Dave is studying music in grad school and the place where I live has a great view. So you see, it all works out in the end.
