Another old one from around 2003, made with my first sampler and a borrowed four track, having not much of an idea what I was going for. However, this track remains cool after all those years.
This song is all over the map, samples from Dvorak (pictured above) to DJ Jazzy Jeff to Chet Baker to the Beastie Boys to DJ Shadow… lots of samples in this song that I would never use today, because as samples they are simply “too easy”.
This song is a cool exploration of sound space, changing and evolving and going nowhere/everywhere.
This is a “summer song”. This is also a “freedom song”. This is a “you can do anything” song.
